HamSCI at Hamvention 2026 - Schedule and Map

HamSCI will have a major presence at the 2026 Dayton Hamvention, to be held in Xenia, Ohio May 15-16-17, 2026 at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Hamvention is the world's largest ham radio gathering, recently welcoming over 30,000 attendees per year. The Hamvention, sponsored by the Dayton Amateur Radio Association (DARA), is an extremely important event for engaging with the amateur radio community, sharing ideas, developing collaborations, and sharing scientific results.
The Hamvention 2026 theme is Radio Adventure, because radio has always been about exploration — of ideas, technologies, distances, and possibilities. From the earliest spark-gap pioneers to today’s digital experimenters and citizen-scientists), amateur radio continues to be a gateway to discovery. HamSCI will be hosting booths 5007 and 5008 (next to TAPR in Building 5, the Hertz Building), and hosting the HamSCI Forum, early on Friday morning. Support for the 2026 HamSCI Hamvention activities comes from The University of Scranton, the Yasme Foundation, TAPR, the National Science Foundation, NASA, and volunteers like you.
As always, we welcome HamSCI booth volunteers. As a volunteer, we ask that you be present in the HamSCI booth as your schedule permits, welcoming visitors, talking with them about HamSCI in general, HamSCI projects and your specific research interests. Feel free to bring demonstration items and materials and to talk about what you know best. The goal of HamSCI is to connect ham radio with scientific research. So, any topic that supports this goal is a good topic to discuss. The booth uniforms, are, by tradition, HamSCI labcoats. The 2026 HamSCI Booth Volunteer Page is up!
